The largest structure, the Flyover 1 bridge, is being recognized for the successful implementation of a new spliced U-girder technology. The Flyover 1 bridge is a seven-span, 1342-ft precast concrete structure sitting on RJ Watson bearings with vertical service loads ranging from 556 kips to 2438 kips, longitudinal displacements ranging from 7.25” to 12.25”, transverse displacements ranging from 0.125” to 2.00”, and a design rotation of 0.02 radians.
