Disktron bearings are composed of polyurethane elements which are designed to withstand a minimum of four times the design load without material failure. RJ Watson has fabricated bearings for the St. Anthony Falls Bridge which is the replacement bridge for the catestrophic failure of the I-35 Mississippi River Bridge in Minnesota. The bearings were tested at UCSD.
