Bridge Bearings

Disktron Bearings

The Disktron Bearing is a highload multirotational compact disk bearing which accommodates design loads of 10 to 10,000 kips while providing rotational capabilities in both longitudinal and transverse directions.   Thousands of RJ Watson bearings have been tested and installed worldwide.

Sliding Isolation Disk Bearings - EQS

R.J. Watson's Bridge Disk Bearings feature The EradiQuake System (EQS) which is a state of the art seismic isolation disk bearing system designed to minimize forces and displacements experienced by structures during an earthquake.

Uplift Bearings

The Disktron Uplift Bearing transfers horizontal forces through the Shear Resisting Mechanism (SRM).  The SRM enables the bearing to withstand horizontal forces far in excess of 10% of the vertical load.

Spherical Bearings

RJW Spherical Bearings are used to accommodate thermal, seismic and mechanical expansion and contraction and also provide multidirectional rotation for highway bridges, railway bridges and other civil engineering structures.
